Denton Fish Vintage Chromolithograph Pillow
The Golden Cleat’s nautically themed pillows are sure to entertain daily and provide enjoyment for generations. Vintage drawings, ephemera, and antique maps from the early 1900s are digitally captured, artfully arranged, and custom printed onto 100% cotton sateen fabric. Due to the fabric's high thread count, even the finest details in each image are preserved during the printing process. The resolution is so crisp and clear, it's hard to believe you're looking at fabric as opposed to paper.
The Golden Cleat sources only high quality American made materials which are then assembled and sewn into finished products in the Thousand Islands region of upstate New York. Each pillow in the collection features an invisible zipper closure, an ivory-colored 100% cotton backing, and a woven tag which bears The Golden Cleat logo.
This pillow features the work of Sherman Foote Denton, who was a naturalist, artist, and author best known for his chromolithographs of the fish of New York State. His detailed drawings were used to illustrate the New York State Fish and Game Commission annual reports from 1895 to 1907. This pillow shows many of the freshwater fish common to the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River: northern pike, banded pickerel, muskellunge, yellow perch, pike-perch (or walleyed perch), bullhead, spotted catfish, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, striped bass, white bass, rock bass, long-eared sunfish, and bluegill sunfish.
