Thousand Island Park Collection
Home to The Golden Cleat, Thousand Island Park is located at the head of Wellesley Island on the St. Lawrence River. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, T. I. Park was originally founded as a Methodist camp in 1875, and later evolved into a more secular summer retreat with Victorian Era cottages replacing tents at the turn of the last century. Many families have carried on the summer tradition of gathering at "the River" for generations.
The Thousand Island Park Collection celebrates the familiar hand-drawn lettering seen around the Park, showcasing it on apparel and bags. Sadly, a devastating fire in August of 2014 claimed the beloved ice cream parlor known as The Guzzle, as well as the fire department, post office, and several other shops and offices. Hand silk-screened onto 100% cotton tee shirts, the generations-old original Guzzle sign evokes cherished memories and nostalgia for ice cream cones and penny candy.
The Golden Cleat will donate 10% of the profits from items in the Thousand Island Park collection to the Thousand Island Park Foundation.
