The Golden Cleat
"The Muskie" Statue Charm
We created this miniature replica of “The Muskie” statue in celebration of the town of Clayton’s 150th anniversary this year. Created by renowned metal sculptor Will Salisbury in 2014 “The Muskie” is located in Clayton’s waterfront Frink Park for all to enjoy. The statue celebrates the muskie's prominent history in the Thousand Islands. Muskellunge, commonly called muskies, are one of the most sought after trophy game fish in the St. Lawrence River. Anglers come from all over the world in search of these impressive fish, which can grow to be several feet long. Catch and release fishing practices have been encouraged and adopted by anglers in recent years, paving the way towards a healthy, sustainable muskie population for future generations.
