Vintage Indigo Throw Blanket from Mali, Africa. Each blanket is unique, handmade in what is known as a cottage industry production. These blankets are made and used by the individual who made the blanket. When the blanket has served its purpose after many years of use, they are sold to a local merchant who wholesales the blankets according to fair trade practices. The artwork varies from one village to the next.
Patterns may vary. Sizing also varies—some larger and some smaller. Most throws are approximately 40x60".
